Terms & Conditions
LiftCloset is an online marketplace that allows users to buy and sell activewear, fitness apparel, shoes, and related items.
Listings and conduct
Users are responsible for:
- Ensuring listings are accurate
- Uploading authentic items only
- Following all applicable laws and platform policies
Counterfeit, illegal, stolen, or prohibited items are not allowed and may result in account suspension or removal.
Buying and selling
All purchases and sales are made between users. LiftCloset may assist with disputes, refunds, or moderation decisions at its discretion.
Payments are securely processed through third-party providers.
Buyer protection and disputes
After an order is delivered, the buyer has a limited buyer-protection window in which they can open a dispute on a purchased item. That window is 24 hours from the point at which LiftCloset records the delivery. An administrator can change the length of the window, so the deadline shown on the buyer's order page is always the one that applies. A change takes effect for new orders only: the window in force when an order was placed continues to apply to that order.
A dispute can only be opened on a delivered order. Cancelled orders, and parcels returned to the seller, cannot be disputed.
Opening a dispute requires a reason and a written description of what went wrong. At least one photo is required for the reasons where the photo is the evidence: Not as described, Arrived damaged, Wrong item received, Counterfeit or inauthentic. Up to 8 photos can be attached to a dispute. While a dispute is under review, the buyer can add further notes and photos, but cannot change the reason or the description they originally gave.
Each purchased item can be disputed once. There is no appeal, a dispute cannot be re-filed, and this applies equally where the buyer cancels the dispute themselves. A buyer can have up to 3 disputes open at the same time; an administrator can change this limit, and the buyer is told the limit that applies if they reach it. Only unresolved disputes count towards it.
How a dispute affects a seller payout
Sellers should understand the following before listing:
- A seller payout is withheld for the whole buyer-protection window, and for as long as any dispute on the order is unresolved.
- Disputes are opened per item, but payouts are made per order. One disputed item withholds the payout for the entire order, including any items nobody has disputed.
- A payout is released once the window closes with no dispute, or once every dispute on the order has been decided or cancelled. Automatic releases are processed periodically rather than instantly.
- A refund on an order permanently blocks the payout for that order.
How LiftCloset decides a dispute
LiftCloset reviews the dispute and decides the outcome. The seller is notified by email when a dispute is opened and when it is decided; the buyer's written description and photos are not forwarded to the seller. LiftCloset may contact either party for further information, and its decision is final.
Where a dispute is upheld, the buyer is refunded the full amount captured for the order — item, shipping and sales tax. LiftCloset does not issue partial or per-item refunds. LiftCloset may require the item to be sent back before the refund is issued; where it does, LiftCloset pays for the return label and asks the buyer to ship the item back within 7 days, and the refund is issued once the carrier confirms the parcel is back with the seller.
Where a dispute is rejected, or the buyer cancels it, no money moves and the payout hold on the order is released.
Where a seller has already been paid for an order that is later refunded, LiftCloset may recover that amount from the seller, including by withholding it from future payouts.
